Hello MATTHEW,

My name is Ibrahim, a fellow Microsoft user and I'm happy to help

I'm sorry to hear that your airpods are not working on teams.

I would suggest you do the following solutions one at a time and see if it works, if not, then move to the next solution.

1. Try Signing out and Signing in.
2. Completely uninstall and re-install MS Teams.
3. Clear MS Teams Cache and data

Hope it helps you. Please let me know if you still need further assistance.

Regards,

Thank you. I have tried all that with no impact.

I have however actually now found a solution:

Airpods Voice isolation needs to be switch off for Airpods to work properly with Teams. This can be found swiping down in Teams whilst on a call and then selecting Mic Mode Standard.

Problem solved. This appears to be a Teams issue/ bug - it used to work just fine, but has become a problem in the last few months.

Hi Matthew,

Please give some more instructions about your solution in Teams. Where in Teams to "swipe down" and change settings?

Thanx in advance!

/Jonas

Issue and resolution is for Teams Mobile access.

Accessing from iphone mobile version of Teams

Whilst in teams, using airpods, swipe down from top of screen

Small menu appears for airpod settings.

Select to make sure voice isolation is off

I still cannot see the option for voice isolation, it doesn't appear in my Teams app while taking a call

Do you happen to have any screenshots?

Hi folks,

I found a YouTube video

that will help in finding the voice isolation option Matthew was referring to. I believe this is a feature specific to iPhones and is not within the Teams app itself. You also have to be in a call in order to see the 'voice isolation' feature appear.

I'm having the same issue with my Airpods not functioning properly during calls on Teams. People either tell me my audio is going in and out or that it sounds 'metallic/robotic'. I've deleted and reinstalled the Teams app and will try the voice isolation feature although I don't typically take calls from my phone and see if either of these help.

this solution works for me too, however its using in my case, my laptops microphone for input as when i was in a meeting, stepped away form the laptop whilst talking and users reported they started hearing me far away, so i was hoping for a both; sound and microphone directly from EarPods solution that doesn't involve adding a Bluetooth dongle ?
